IBG-1, September 2013: Biotechnology research in Jülich acquires third Helmholtz Young Investigator Group

After the competitive evaluation procedure, Dr. Dietrich Kohlheyer managed to convinced also the scientific research panel in Berlin about his plans. Dietrich will receive an annual funding of 250.000 € for a period of five years from the Helmholtz Association to build up his own research group. Integrated into the Institute IBG-1:Biotechnology, the interdisciplinary Helmholtz Young Investigator Group “Microscale Bioengineering” develops cutting edge technology to perform single-cell research on industrially relevant microbes.
