IHRS Biosoft at the open day of Forschungszentrum Jülich
29th September 2013: Tag der Neugier
"Tag der Neugier" is the open day of Forschungszentrum Jülich, more than 20.000 visitors have been counted this year. In addition to scientific presentations of our institutes, the IHRS BioSoft members explained research highlights and the course program to interested visitors at the special exhibtion "Sustainable Campus". Our research goals and achievements cover a broad range of topics from research towards the development of neuronal implants (bioelectronics) to the development an innovative paint brush cleaner (neutron scattering), and from environmently friendly water-diesel mixtures (physical chemistry) to the discovery of a substance that is potentially active against Alzheimer's disease. Unlike the course program of the IHRS BioSoft that is entirely in English language, the open day addresses both interested colleagues and the public; the presentations are therefore either bilingual or in German language.
