Towards improved neutron scattering data quality

A typical neutron scattering experiment on low concentration biological samples lasts for some hours, in which time the sample could degrade and consequently inaccurate results may be produced. A team of researchers is working on an in-situ dynamic light scattering set-up to control the sample quality over time so that false data can be discarded. This work will considerably improve the quality of neutron scattering data on delicate biological samples.
