Novel nanopositioning device presented at the Hannover Trade Fair
Increasingly, nanometre-size structures move into the focus of condensed matter scientists. Being able to move objects controllably on this length scale is a key capability in nanoscience. At the Hannover trade fair the Forschungszentrum Jülich presented a nanopositioner that combines a resolution of 0.1 nanometre with excellent positioning accuracy, large travel distances, jerk-free motion and excellent resistance against vibrations.
