Helmholtz–Humboldt Sunday Lecture on the Future of Science Communication

Berlin/Jülich, 28 April 2014 – Today’s digital society has led to a radical transformation in the way knowledge is transmitted – for scientists, with whom knowledge and insights originate, for journalists, whose role as mediators is increasingly being called into question, and for the general public, who increasingly search for and find information on the Internet. In the latest in a series of Sunday lectures organized by the Helmholtz Association and the Humboldt University of Berlin on 27 April, Prof. Hans Peter Peters from Forschungszentrum Jülich and Prof. Volker Gerhardt from the Humboldt University of Berlin discussed the possible implications that the new opportunities for self-presentation could have for the craft of science and for journalism.
