WorldSkills 2017: Tenth Place for Jülich Trainee

Jülich, 20 October 2017 – Philipp Winterscheid achieved place 10 of 21 at the WorldSkills 2017 vocational competition in Abu Dhabi, securing himself a respectable place in the electrical systems category. The 19-year-old is training to become an electronics technician for industrial engineering at Forschungszentrum Jülich and is the German champion in his field. On the four days of competition, he proved his outstanding capabilities in an international field. “We are very proud of the commitment and performance that Philipp Winterscheid displayed during the WorldSkills competition,” says Ulrich Ivens, head of the Vocational Training Centre of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
