Aachen University of Applied Sciences Receives Minerva Prize

Jülich, 12 December 2018 – During a ceremony held in the chapel of Jülich’s citadel, Prof. Wolfgang Marquardt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Forschungszentrum Jülich, presented the 2018 Minerva Prize to Aachen University of Applied Sciences. Rector Prof. Marcus Baumann accepted the prize on behalf of the university, whose Jülich branch was founded in 1963 under the name of “Staatliche Ingenieurschule für Maschinenwesen” . The prize honours the university’s outstanding commitment to education and training at the interface between science and industry.
