Research topic: Multimodal modeling of attention and executive motor control in health and psychiatric diseases

The main focus of my research is the investigation of attention and executive motor control in healthy subjects and possible deficits in psychiatric patients. I am particularly interested in the influence of cognitive control processes on motor behavior and the interactions of the underlying neural networks. I therefore use task-based fMRI and meta-analyses to identify those regions associated with specific cognitive processes as well as multimodal connectivity approaches such as resting state and meta-analytic connectivity modeling to investigate the interactions within these neural networks. Moreover, potential dysfunctions within these networks are investigated in patients with schizophrenia.

Methodological topics:

  • fMRI
  • ALE-meta analyses
  • Resting State
  • meta-analytic connectivity modeling (MACM)
  • Co-activation based parcellation,
