Research topic: The neural network of motor control and pathological changes with motor symptoms
Cognitive functions such as motor control or emotion regulation are always realized through the interplay of different brain regions as networks. This is why connections and interactions of brain regions through theses is crucial for understanding cognitive functions in general. I am interested in the modeling the neural network for psychomotor functioning and the relationship between network changes and behavioral disturbances or symptoms as in Parkinson’s Disease.
- Structural and functional neuroimaging using fMRI (SPM, FSL) and the automatized analysis of very large multi-modal data sets
- Neuroimaging meta-analysis with Activation Likelihood Estimation (ALE)
- Network modelling based on resting-state functional connectivity and meta-analytic connectivity modeling (¡MACM)
