Dr. Sofie Valk, M. Sc.

Doctoral Researcher

Research topics:

  • genetics
  • heritability
  • structural covariance

The main focus of my research is to decipher how genes relate to brain and behavior in healthy individuals. Currently, I focus on heritability and brain structural networks. To answer these research questions I work with big data samples such as the Human Connectome Project. Ultimately, my project can contribute to a better understanding of brain anatomy per se. Furthermore, my research can be used to understand biological markers underlying individual differences and disorder.
