Jülich Develops Test Stand with Rolls-Royce

Scientists from Forschungszentrum Jülich test turbine components

Jülich, 8 June 2011 – Scientists at Forschungszentrum Jülich have developed a new test stand for the aeroengine maker Rolls-Royce. The stand will be used to perform load tests on gas turbine components of an aeroengine. The service life of the components will be investigated and evaluated as well as the reasons a coating may become detached.
