Successful Joint Climate Research
Jülich - 21 January 2011 - Soil and vegetation are an enormously important element in the Earth's "climate machine". Since 2007, scientists at Forschungszentrum Jülich, the universities of Bonn and Cologne, and RWTH Aachen University have been working to improve our understanding of the complex interaction between soil and atmosphere. The German Research Foundation (DFG) has now agreed to fund the project for a further four years. In doing so, the DFG almost doubled the funding to more than € 3 million per annum.
