€ 1.3 Million for Jülich Young Scientist
Humboldt Foundation Honours Dr. Dmitry A. Fedosov with Sofja Kovalevskaja Award
Jülich, 22 August 2012 – One of the most highly endowed German science awards goes to Dr. Dmitry A. Fedosov from Forschungszentrum Jülich. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is honouring the 30-year-old Russian mathematician with the Sofja Kovalevskaja Award. This award is intended to enable promising early career scientists from abroad to forge a career in Germany. With the prize money of about € 1.3 million over a period of five years, Fedosov will establish his own research group to conduct research into the difference in blood circulation in healthy tissue and in tumours.
