Measurement Flights on Efficiency of Green Lung

Forschungszentrum Jülich tests new sensor

Jülich, 22 August 2012 – For the next two weeks, scientists from Jülich will be taking to the air to examine how effectively plants bind carbon dioxide. They will be employing a newly developed sensor and will also be testing it for use on possible satellite missions. The measurement flights over Jülich's fertile plain will help to understand the influence of vegetation on weather and climate.
