Five young investigators groups receive funding from Helmholtz Association

Jülich, 12 September 2013 – The Helmholtz Association is supporting scientists in setting up their own research group for the eleventh time this year. Sixty-six young researchers from all over the world submitted applications for the current round of funding. In a tough competition, international experts selected nineteen of them for Helmholtz funding, five of whom will work at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Annual funding to the tune of € 250,000 over a period of five years and a tenure-track option provide early-career scientists with the opportunity to make a name for themselves in science.
