Ekolyser Project in Operation for 1000 Hours

Jülich, 11 January 2016 – In the Ekolyser project, researchers from Forschungszentrum Jülich are developing methods for the production of hydrogen by the electrolysis of water together with partners from science and industry. In a new test facility, they are testing more robust and inexpensive materials. The prototype has now completed its envisaged operating time of 1000 hours and the technology should be ready for widespread application by 2020.
