Three Jülich Spin-Outs Receive Helmholtz Funding

Berlin/Jülich, 23 June 2016 – It’s a long way from the first idea to your own company. This is why spin-out projects from 18 Helmholtz centres nationwide can apply for jump-start funding from the Helmholtz Enterprise programme. Among the five business ideas selected for funding in the current round of calls, no fewer than three originate from Forschungszentrum Jülich. Two start-ups concerning Alzheimer’s research were found to be convincing, along with another one for novel sensor technology. They will now receive up to € 260,000 in funding. Half of this money will come from the Helmholtz Association’s Initiative and Networking Fund, while the other half will be contributed by Forschungszentrum Jülich itself.
