Preliminary Decision on Excellence Strategy: Jülich a Strong Partner of Universities

Jülich, 29 September 2017 – Forschungszentrum Jülich has shown itself to be a strong partner of universities in the ongoing selection procedure for cluster of excellence projects. As was announced last Friday, Jülich is involved in eight of the project proposals that have qualified for the final round of the procedure. The German Research Foundation (DFG) on Friday morning revealed the draft proposals selected in the review and decision-making process. The Excellence Strategy of the federal and state governments is seeking to strengthen Germany’s position as a hub for science and research, and to enhance its international competitiveness.
