Iron-hydrogen complexes on top of the Pt(111) surface

Results of the investigation of few possible iron-hydrogen configurations on top of the Pt(111) surface with combined first-principle technique and many-body model calculations (ED with full U-matrix). The aim of the current work is to search for microscopic mechanisms that can explain anomalies in conductance spectra of iron-adatom on platinum substrate terminated with hydrogen atoms. It is found that hydrogen bond can be responsible for anomalies in electronic spectra near Fermi energy.
