Dr. Anne M. Thompson, NASA

Dr. Anne Thompson is a senior scientist at the Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA. The climate researcher coordinates the network Southern Hemisphere Additional Ozonesondes (SHADOZ). Its aim is to provide long-term data on ozone in the atmosphere. We interviewed Dr. Thompson at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where members of the international network with stations in the southern hemisphere have come together to calibrate their instruments. The UN Environmental Programme with the help of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) provided the funds to make this meeting possible. She explains why this is important and why it's so special.
