Paul Gibbon is Associate Professor at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Department of Mathematics, where he teaches courses on computational methods and plasma physics. At JSC, he heads the Computational Science division and runs the Plasma Physics Simulation Lab. He is also Topic Speaker for "Computational Science and Mathematical Methods" within the Helmholtz Assocation Programme Supercomputing and Big Data.

She retains her position as a scientist working both in the JSC Computational Science division and at the Institute for Advanced Simulations (IAS) - Computational Biomedicine (IAS-5 / INM-9) at Forschungszentrum Jülich .
