How to Acknowledge Granted Resources on Supercomputers at JSC

Papers, presentations, and other publications containing results obtained on the supercomputers at JSC must include proper acknowledgements and the HPC system used must additionally be cited properly. The wording of the acknowledgement depends on the context in which the resources where granted. Please choose the text appropriate for your project from the list below.

Resources on JUQUEEN

JUQUEEN must be cited in all publications in the following way:

[1] Jülich Supercomputing Centre. (2015). JUQUEEN: IBM Blue Gene/Q Supercomputer System at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. Journal of large-scale research facilities, 1, A1. http://dx.doi.org/10.17815/jlsrf-1-18

The reference style can be adapted according to the publications citiation rules.

Furthermore, you must acknowledge the resources used with the text appropriate for your project chosen from the list below.

GCS large-scale projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) for providing computing time for a GCS Large-Scale Project on the GCS share of the supercomputer JUQUEEN [1] at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC). GCS is the alliance of the three national supercomputing centres HLRS (Universität Stuttgart), JSC (Forschungszentrum Jülich), and LRZ (Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German State Ministries for Research of Baden-Württemberg (MWK), Bayern (StMWFK) and Nordrhein-Westfalen (MIWF).

Regular GCS/NIC projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) for providing computing time through the John von Neumann Institute for Computing (NIC) on the GCS share of the supercomputer JUQUEEN [1] at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC).

JARA-HPC and VSR projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the computing time granted by the JARA-HPC Vergabegremium and provided on the JARA-HPC Partition part of the supercomputer JUQUEEN [1] at Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Additionally, the affiliation of the PI with JARA-HPC has to be included in the author list.

Resources on JURECA

JURECA must be cited in all publications in the following way:

[2] Jülich Supercomputing Centre. (2016). JURECA: General-purpose supercomputer at Jülich Supercomputing Centre. Journal of large-scale research facilities, 2, A62. http://dx.doi.org/10.17815/jlsrf-2-121

The reference style can be adapted according to the publications citiation rules.

Furthermore, you must acknowledge the resources used with the text appropriate for your project chosen from the list below.

NIC projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the computing time granted by the John von Neumann Institute for Computing (NIC) and provided on the supercomputer JURECA [2] at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC).

VSR projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the computing time granted on the supercomputer JURECA [2] at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC).

Resources on JUROPA

NIC projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the computing time granted by the John von Neumann Institute for Computing (NIC) and provided on the supercomputer JUROPA at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC).

VSR projects

The authors gratefully acknowledge the computing time granted on the supercomputer JUROPA at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC).
