Data Transfer to and from JUQUEEN

SCP - Secure CoPy

Login data and the data being transferred is encrypted. Validation is done via a public/private ssh key pair.

scp <sourcefile> [<user>@]<host>:<target>

scp [<user>@]<host>:<source> <target>

For further information, see: SCP manual pages

GSISCP - High performance transfer with gsiscp

If your local SSH also is a High Performance SSH you may transfer your data using:

gsiscp -oNoneSwitch=yes -oNoneEnabled=yes [-P <port>] <source> [<user>@]<host>:<target>

Your login data is still encrypted, the data being transferred is unencrypted. Validation is done via a public/private ssh key pair.

Options:

  • -oNoneSwitch=yes -oNoneEnabled=yes enables HPN-SSH
  • -P <port> specifies the port that is enabled for gsissh on the destination system
    (use -P 2222 for JUQUEEN front-end nodes)

For further information, see: Advanced Networking: High Performance SSH/SCP - HPN-SSH

(gsissh and gsiscp for usage over the PRACE network and validation via certificates will be installed later.)

bbcp - Securely and quickly copy data from source to target

Validation is done via a public/private ssh key pair.

bbcp [ options ] <source> [<user>@]<host>:<target>

For more explanation and options, see: bbcp
