Data Transfer to and from JUQUEEN
JUDAC - Juelich Data Access Server
The Juelich Data Access serves as GPFS gateway (General Parallel File System) for data of the supercomputing systems. All supercomputer users automatically have access to the JUDAC server, which provides GRID tools for data access and data transfer.
For information, please see JUDAC description.
Commands on JUQUEEN Front-End-Nodes:
SCP - Secure CoPy
Login data and the data being transferred is encrypted. Validation is done via a public/private ssh key pair.
scp <sourcefile> [<user>@]<host>:<target>
scp [<user>@]<host>:<source> <target>
For further information, see: SCP manual pages
GSISCP - High performance transfer with gsiscp
If your local SSH also is a High Performance SSH you may transfer your data using:
gsiscp -oNoneSwitch=yes -oNoneEnabled=yes [-P <port>] <source> [<user>@]<host>:<target>
Your login data is still encrypted, the data being transferred is unencrypted. Validation is done via a public/private ssh key pair.
- -oNoneSwitch=yes -oNoneEnabled=yes enables HPN-SSH
- -P <port> specifies the port that is enabled for gsissh on the destination system
(use -P 2222 for JUQUEEN front-end nodes)
For further information, see: Advanced Networking: High Performance SSH/SCP - HPN-SSH
(gsissh and gsiscp for usage over the PRACE network and validation via certificates are also installed.)
bbcp - Securely and quickly copy data from source to target
Validation is done via a public/private ssh key pair.
