Sabine Dues
Manager International Relations

Regional responsibility: India, Eastern Europe, CIS, Middle East and Africa
Main focus countries: Russia and India

Sabine Dues is the Manager International Relations at the Forschungszentrum Jülich since January 2015. In this position she links the international executive strategy with the activities of the Juelich scientists. Further she supervises the foreign collaborations and strategic alliances, is responsible for international networking and the initiation of new cooperation projects.

From 2009 to 2015, Sabine Dues coordinated several EU and international initiatives at the Project Management Department in Juelich and advised the Federal Ministry of Research and Education concerning international collaborations in the area of animal health. From 1991 to 2008, she held various international positions in Sales and Marketing in the biotechnological industry. She is a molecular biologist by training and obtained her university degree at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tuebingen, Germany.

Dr. Svenja Kruse

Svenja Kruse is Manager International Relations at Forschungszentrum Jülich since January 2013. In this position she links the international executive strategy with the activities of the Jülich scientists. Further she supervises the foreign collaborations and strategic alliances, is responsible for international networking and the initiation of new cooperation projects.

Previously, Svenja Kruse worked nine years in Antarctic research. From 2011 to 2012, she was PostDoc at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada - a research stay that was supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In 2010, Svenja Kruse was assistant to the head of the bioscience department at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI). Between 2006 and 2009, she did her doctoral thesis at AWI. She is a marine biologist by training and studied at the Universities of Bremen and Bonn, Germany.

Günter Lincks

Günter Lincks has been the contact for international affairs at Forschungszentrum Jülich since 2000. At the “International Relations” he is coordinating the international activities of Jülich scientists and the members of the Board of Directors since 2015. In this position he backs up international initiatives and strategic alliances and is responsible for international networking and the initiation of new cooperation projects. Within the Helmholtz Association he is the Jülich representative at their “Committee of International Affairs” and currently, he is heading this committee.

Previously from 1992 to 2000 at the Department for Scientific and Technical Planning of the research centre, Günter Lincks supervised the research area environment, headed the division for fund raising from external sources like German ministries and the European Commission and, he was responsible for the placing of research contracts with universities and scientific institutes. From 1979 to 1992, he worked as a scientific officer at “Project Management Jülich”, an agency of the German Ministry of Research and Education where he evaluated and supervised projects of the funding programme for the German hard coal mining and offshore activities. He is a geologist by training and studied at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
