Picture of the month
The HYFLEX 2012 flight campaign was carried out in august 2012 above the measurement area of Transregional Collaborative Research Centre 32 in Jülich and surroundings. For the first time a new hyperspectral sensor called HyPlant was used. The imaging sensor measures reflected and emitted radiation of a vegetation canopy. The signal is used to derive different vegetation parameters such as the sun-induced fluorescence. Those vegetation parameters are used to estimate the photosynthetic activity of vegetation and their reaction to drought and extreme temperatures.
