Implementation of quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 in the Agrosphere institute (IBG-3)
“Controlling and securing of data quality is essential in the observation and quantification of chemical concentrations und fluxes in Biogeosystems “
The Agrosphere institute (IBG-3) provides, after successful evaluation by the TÜV-Rheinland, a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 to support its Environmental research platform based on interdisciplinary and long-term research program.
Certified are the process “Organic and radio analytics” and “Environmental monitoring in the framework of TERENO.
For the implementation of the quality management system, the institute could use their former expertise in running a “Good Laboratory Practice” quality system.
Based on this expertise and one year intensive preparations the installation of the quality management system IBG-3 succeded in obtaining the TÜV certification.
This success is based on the highly motivated staff of the IGB-3 and the comprehensive assistance of the organization ”Quality Management” by the Forschungszentrums Jülich.
As a programmatically searching, now certified, institute in the environmental research they has set the benchmark for data quality control of environmental research platforms of the Helmholtz Association
After the successful certification further research projects will be escorted by quality management activity’s to provide reliable and secure data for our research work and partner.
