Photolysis frequencies group

The photolysis frequencies group investigates the decay of molecules by the influence of solar radiation (photolysis). The rate of photolysis processes is of great importance for atmospheric photochemistry and must be accounted for quantitatively to understand the chemical processes in the atmosphere. Photolysis frequencies are first-order rate constants which determine the relationship between the concentration of the photolized compound and its loss rate. ( more)
