Mit Neutronenstreuung untersuchten die Forscher die Struktur ihrer Proben. So lässt sich aus der Größe des "Rings" bestimmen.
Recipe Book for Colloids
Jülich, 14 August 2015 – Researchers from Jülich have, together with colleagues from Austria, Italy, Colombia and the USA, developed a model system for so-called soft colloids. The model gives us a better understanding of correlations between the atomic structure of colloids and their perceptible material properties. These findings could lead to new approaches for the targeted development of innovative colloid materials. The results have just been published in the journal Nanoscale.

Microswimmers – From Single Particle Motion to Collective Behaviour
The study of the mechanisms and dynamics of autonomous microswimmers is a fascinating field at the cutting edge of science. It combines the biophysics of self-propulsion via motor proteins, artificial propulsion mechanisms, swimming strategies at low Reynolds numbers, the hydrodynamic interaction of swimmers, and the collective motion of large numbers of agents.
