High Pressure Mass Spectrometry (HPMS)

Studies of gases from varying origins and under ambient atmosphere can be realized with the so called High Pressure Mass Spectrometer (HDMS).

Two Mass Spectrometer with entirely different generation of ions and diverse mass separation are available:

  • HDMS with electron impact ionisation and quadrupol

  • HDMS with laser ionisation and time of flight chamber

  • Both mass spectrometer are working in an analogous manner and only the ionization and registration of the ions are different. The potential of both machines and the excisting equipment is qualified for the gas phase chemistry under real and ideal atmospheric conditions.
