Water-splitting research featured on front cover of Energy Environmental Science

Our article on efficient light induced water splitting was featured on the front cover of Energy and Environmental Science (2016, Issue 1). It reports on the applicability of specifically designed multijunction silicon solar cells as high-voltage photocathodes for efficient bias-free water splitting. We demonstrate a record solar-to-hydrogen efficiency of 9.5 %.
