Technical Innovation

Accurate knowledge of technical innovations (screening) is a prerequisite for assessing individual technologies and technical subsystems.

The maturity of individual technologies is characterized systematically in the context of innovation research, for example using learning curves. The assessment of new technical options, such as for example solid-state electrolytic batteries, is based on lifecycle analyses:

Technic Innovation

For technical innovations, incentives and social objectives are also relevant. In addition, sector-specific approaches to increase energy efficiency are also analysed in detail, e.g. concepts for increasing the energy efficiency of buildings.
