German Neutron Scattering Conference

The conference will be held in the Bad Godesberg area of Bonn at the Gustav-Stresemann-Institut (GSI). Bonn is a city of more than 300,000 inhabitants, located about 20 kilometers south of Cologne on the river Rhine, in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was the capital of West Germany from 1949 to 1990 and the official seat of the government until 1999.
Bonn is the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven, lending the city a rich musical history. Relics from the last 2000 years, ranging from Roman monuments to Romanesque churches and Baroque castles, influence the city’s character and landscape. Bonn is also seen as the gateway to the Rhine Valley, with its impressive fortresses, steep vineyards and quaint villages. The city and the region around it offer visitors a broad variety of interesting sights and cultural attractions.
