The “Microbial Bioprocess Lab“ is one out of seven nationwide projects set up by the Helmholtz Association in the Enabling Spaces program “Helmholtz Innovation Labs”.

MiBioLab acts as a nucleus for innovative bioprocess engineering bridging the gap between groundbreaking academic technologies and industrial application.

MiBioLab speeds up technology transfer by developing innovative solutions for current challenges in industrial bioprocess engineering.

MiBioLab offers advanced technologies for the development and optimization of microbial production processes.

MiBioLab is specialized in miniaturized and automated cultivation workflows as well as quantitative omics-solutions.

Our innovative and unique technology platforms allow fast strain phenotyping by powerful automated lab robotics and accelerated tailor-made bioprocess optimization making use of state of the art devices and tools.
