Spintronics in Carbon Nanostructures
We study electronic properties of functionalized carbon nanotubes, with a special focus on the influence of defects and spins on transport properties. In order to reach a comprehensive understanding of the transport properties, we combine the transport measurements with characterization of the devices and the material:
- Synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes and peapods
- Correlation of HRTEM and Raman measurements on carbon nanotubes
- Quantum transport on carbon nanotubes and peapods
- Magnetoresistance and spin injection into carbon nanotubes
