International Workshop on Bioelectronics in Blaubeuren
International Workshop on Bioelectronics in Blaubeuren, Germany, with delegations from China, France and Germany.
From Sept. 18th to Sept. 24th, 2011, the International Workshop on Bioelectronics was held at the Heinrich-Fabri-Institute in Blaubeuren, Germany, comprising talks about a variety of topics related to bioelectronic research. The workshop was joined by participants from the Institute Curie in Paris, the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), as well as the Institute of Bioelectronics (ICS-8/PGI-8) of the Research Center Jülich. The participants’ presentations included topics from within or related to their field of research, ranging from the improvement of cell-chip-interfaces over microfluidic applications in cell culture to the development of functional materials applicable in the former. Aside from the formal program, extracurricular activities such as a hiking trip in the Swabian Jura as well as a visit to a nearby located climbing park were enjoyed by the participants.
The next ICS-8/PGI-8 workshop in school format will take place in the beginning of 2013, as this event is held in a 1.5 year cycles.
