National Remote Sensing Validation Workshop

Forschungszentrum Jülich will host on behalf of DLR Space Administration the National remote sensing validation workshop.

The workshop aims to identify fields of action to optimize a long-term validation infrastructure and to build the awareness of a common understanding of all science communities with respect to the cross-cutting topics of validation of remote sensing satellite data. Open issues or gaps shall be addressed during the workshop and ultimately a “way forward” shall be outlined for future activities.

  • Characterization of validation means
  • Quality assurance, traceability, and standards
  • Community and network building
