Forschungszentrum Jülich has 7 research institutes with 46 divisions in the fields of energy and climate research, bio- and geosciences, medicine and neurosciences, complex systems, simulations sciences, neutron sciences and nanotechnology as well as 3 scientific central divisions, 2 project management organizations and 20 organisational units who support the scientific research in administration.
Just as global trade flows have become an established phenomenon in the past decades, modern research also takes place in global networks.
