Information and Communications Management

The Information and Communications Management (IKM) Division is the point of contact for all strategic information and communications technology issues that are not the subject of research.

IKM plans and manages the development and use of information and communications technology at Forschungszentrum Jülich in close cooperation with the customer representatives and the IT service providers. The aim of IKM's work is to create conditions for needs-oriented and efficient provision of information and communications services to optimally support processes in the areas of research and administration. Important focuses in IKM's work are the needs-oriented availability and quality of all products and services related to information technology, ensuring economic efficiency of the associated processes, and guaranteeing a high level of IT security.
