An International Working Environment
Our employees come from more than 50 different countries. Around 1,000 visiting scientists come to Jülich for research stays every year from Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, the USA, Latin America, Africa, and other parts of the world. We consider this to be one of our strengths.
This wide variety of cultures creates a colourful international working environment for research, which in turn facilitates a broad-based exchange of knowledge. This enriches our company and fosters world-class research.
It is also a reason why we believe it is important that our employees make use of their individual skills and capabilities. We encourage and support our staff members in doing so.
Personnel offers support and advice for new employees from abroad and visiting scientists on all matters related to formalities with the authorities and finding accommodation.
In order to help new employees in finding their way around campus as well as outside work, Forschungszentrum Jülich offers German language courses as well as intercultural training courses.
The International Club Jülich encourages contact between employees of Forschungszentrum Jülich from Germany and abroad. It organizes activities such as cultural events, day trips, and international evenings for employees and their families.
