Also on the level of the whole Helmholtz Association, the importance of supporting postdocs in their career planning is clearly demonstrated by the guidelines for the postdoc phase within the Helmholtz Association adopted in April 2018.
Young investigators groups at Forschungszentrum Jülich
Prof. Martina Müller heads a young investigators group at the Peter Grünberg Institute — Electronic Properties (PGI-6). Her group, the Oxide Spintronics Laboratory, is involved in spintronics research.

At Jülich, internationally outstanding postdocs are given the opportunity to establish their own young investigators groups. Candidates who successfully pass the multistage selection procedure are rewarded with reliable career prospects (tenure track).
