Visit Forschungszentrum Jülich
Forschungszentrum Jülich is open to everyone. We would like to invite you to take part in one of our tours free of charge. Specialist knowledge is not required. Please use the online form to contact the Visitor Service team and arrange a date.
We organize tours for groups of at least ten participants. Larger groups will be split up. Groups of senior school students are also welcome to participate in a tour.
Programme for General Tours
- When you have arrived at Forschungszentrum Jülich, a scientist will give you an overview of our institution and the research topics we cover. You will have the opportunity to ask questions or discuss current research topics.
- During a bus tour, you will then get to know our two-square-kilometre campus with its institutes and large-scale equipment.
- A visit to one of our laboratories gives you an insight into our current research. Here, you will get to know the workplaces, research objectives, and methods used in the respective research area.

We offer tours on different scientific topis by bus or bicycle. Please select a research area. We will try to arrange the programme for your visit accordingly.
Energy, Climate and Bioeconomy
Forschungszentrum Jülich is developing environmentally friendly ways of converting and storing energy in the 21st century and investigates how ecosystems can be utilized in a way that is both sustainable and environmentally compatible.
