The Central Library of Forschungszentrum Jülich regularly organizes specialist conferences and workshops.

Mission statement

The Central Library is a specialized library oriented towards the needs of its users and responsible for supplying information and literature for the work conducted at Forschungszentrum Jülich. It provides services in the fields of documentation, publication, information management, and information science.
Its task is to identify, respond to, and shape new developments.

Conferences and workshops are held every year.
In 2014, we will be organizing a workshop on open access as part of “[sic!] Jülich”, our series of specialized workshops.

A workshop on bibliometrics is planned for 2015.

The next WissKom conference will take place in 2016 shortly after the German Library Congress (Bibliothekskongress). The conference programme will address topics from the interface between libraries, information, and science.
