Jülich Researchers Involved in Ozone Report

Jülich, 11 September 2014 – Climate scientists from Forschungszentrum Jülich played a key part in compiling the latest report on the situation of the ozone layer. The preprint of the Assessment for Decision-Makers was presented at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York on 10 September 2014. Ever since the ozone hole was first detected in 1985, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) together with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has documented changes in the state of the ozone layer in a report published every four years.
