RWTH Innovation Award for Outstanding Research Projects

Jülich projects take second and third place

9 February 2016 – Together with Forschungszentrum Jülich, RWTH Aachen University presented this year's RWTH Innovation Award on 29 January. The prize endowed by Hilti Aktiengesellschaft honours outstanding projects at RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich demonstrating promising innovation potential. First prize went to the CarboBat team from RWTH Aachen University for their battery research. Two Jülich teams took second and third place, both working on different bioelectronics applications in the institute headed by Prof. Andreas Offenhäusser. Prof. Malte Brettel, vice-rector for industry and business relations, presented the certificates at the RWTHtransparent event. A total of 29 projects entered the competition.
