The objective of my internship is to investigate the possibilities offered by Generative neural networks such as Variational Autoencoders (VAE) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) to generate synthetic resting-state functional connectivity matrices from real ones. Another goal is to examine the differences between the functional connectivity matrices according to the gender of the subject, and to see if it would be possible to introduce those differences into the generated matrices, in order to understand them better.
