I am passionate about working on implementing novel algorithms for neuroimaging data analysis to understand brain function and identify patterns that can diagnose and predict clinical manifestation.

My current research is focussed on brain-age prediction using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Accurate prediction of brain age from non-invasive brain imaging data can provide valuable insights into aging-trajectories of brain structure and function. Thus, my Ph.D. project aims at improving the state-of-the-art in brain-age prediction and its interpretation by identifying typically and atypically aging brain regions by (1) systematically evaluating a large number of workflows in a big data framework to establish guidelines for workflow design, and (2) devising methods to interpret the models to localize aging-related changes in the brain.
