By modelling approach we investigate the mechanisms of the emergence and control of collective dynamics of large-scale neuronal networks in the brain. We are in particular interested in understanding the interrelation between brain structure and dynamics and they dependence and impact on healthy and diseased states. The modelling description can be used to extend the space of features and parameters for a better classification and mechanistic explanation of the phenomena observed in experimental and clinical studies. We thus closely relate the results of the modelling and data analyses. We also apply the model-based approach to evaluation and improvement of the data processing and analysis methods in neuroimaging.
