Forschungszentrum Jülich Expands Bioeconomy Research
Jülich, 11 June 2014 - The collaborative projects Molecular Interaction Engineering (MIE) and New optical sensors and photo-regulators for light-mediated control and analysis of molecular systems (OptoSyS) aim to help smooth the transition from today’s oil-based economy to a knowledge-based bioeconomy. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will provide Forschungszentrum Jülich with some € 4 million for this work. Parliamentary State Secretary Thomas Rachel, Member of the German Bundestag, presented Forschungszentrum Jülich with the official funding notification for both projects today.
