BioökonomieREVIER: Shaping the Future through Education and Training in the Rhineland Bioeconomy

Jülich/Gelsenkirchen, 24 March 2021 – The Rhineland is home to a unique scientific landscape within Germany for the bioeconomy. How much use of this potential is already being made today for the region’s economy through education and training? Where should improvements be made to regional competence and qualification profiles? The Institute for Work and Technology (IAT) at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen has presented a study on this on behalf of the BioökonomieREVIER structural change initiative, which is coordinated by Forschungszentrum Jülich. It provides an overview of industry focal points and provides impetus for education and training relating to bioeconomy in the Rhineland region.
