Software Developer

Your Job:

  • Development of new features in an existing Open-Source Python Software Project: The Mission Support System, ( https://bit.ly/2F86DLZ ) in the framework of a DFG project
  • Implementation of the full support of the OGCS WMS standard
  • Implementation of new features supporting flight planning in the graphical user interface in QT
  • Implementation of use-case specific test cases
  • Advance continuous integration efforts
  • Close cooperation and exchange with various developers and users
  • Opportunity to publish about development and usage in a peer-reviewed journal

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or in a related field, respectively a similar quailification
  • Advanced skills in Python
  • Familiarity with QT is desirable
  • Advanced skills in modern software development with an affinity for GUI design
  • Good communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Willingness to work in an international, interdisciplinary and distributed team
